If you are concerned your toddler's speech or language development please contact Parents as Teachers. For preschool speech and language concerns, you may contact the Don Earl Early Childhood Center. If you are concerned about your school-aged child's speech development please contact me for a screening. Some children in kindergarten or first grade can receive interventions to help correct speech errors before a formal evaluation is completed. Once a child is evaluated, it must be determined that the errors have an impact on the child’s education or school functioning in order to meet eligibility to be considered speech impaired.  If this is found to be the case, the IEP team-parent, teacher, SLP, school official-meets to develop an IEP and place the child in special education. Please contact me at school 636-282-6930 or rastera@foxc6.org if you have any questions!
