Welcome to Ade's Islanders
4th Grade

Hello My Name Is...
Grace Ade
This is my 5th year of teaching and 2nd year at Clyde Hamrick Elementary. Previously, I taught 6th grade for two years before switching to 4th grade in 2013 at LoneDell Elementary. I graduated in 2006 with my Associates of Arts in Teaching and Learning from Jefferson College. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education 1-6 in 2008 from Missouri Baptist University. I was a Substitute Teacher from 2006-2011 for the Fox C6 School District. During that time, I did 7 long term and maternity leaves for teachers in the district mainly in 4th and 6th grade. I also taught 4th grade for a teacher at Festus Intermediate who was out on a 3 month maternity leave. Outside of school, I also teach dance at Leaping Lizards Performing Arts Studio in Southwest City. I have been teaching dance for 20 years to students of all ages. I currently teach tap and ballet to students ages 4-7. Besides teaching dance, I also take tap classes at the studio and belong to a tap group who performs all over the St. Louis area recently performing at Dancing in the Streets outside the Fox Theater. I have been married for 21 years and have 3 children ages 20, 17, and 13.
